About the Foundation
The “Gayane Khachaturian” Foundation was established in 2008, during the artist’s lifetime and with her consent.
The Foundation is a non-profit organization without membership, created on the basis of voluntary property contributions of the founders, which pursues social, cultural, educational and other public benefit goals.
The Foundation’s goals are:
Support to the artist Gayane Khachaturian.
Support the creation of the artist Gayane Khachaturian’s house-museum.
Implement programs aimed at recognizing the artist Gayane Khachaturian, so that her works are properly appreciated.
Support and financially assist gifted socially unsafe students studying in cultural institutions.
Support the creation of a stipend named after the artist Gayane Khachaturian.
With the initiative and support of the Gayane Khachaturian Foundation, the artist’s solo exhibition was held at the 53rd Venice Biennale in 2009, and in 2010, a solo exhibition was held at the National Gallery of Armenia, dedicated to the first anniversary of Gayane’s death. Exhibitions have been organized and held in Gayane’s birthplace, Tbilisi, as well as in various cities of the Russian Federation and various capitals of European countries.
The Gayane Khachaturian Foundation cooperates with numerous Armenian and foreign companies, in particular, the Sergei Parajanov Museum and the Artuyt Company, which was founded to promote Armenian art worldwide.
